Is this legal?
Yes! The state of Michigan allows parents to direct a state-certified teacher to instruct their student in a non-public school setting. Students will be instructed by Luann Szukhent, State of Michigan Certified Teacher for Kindergarten through grade 5.
What curriculum does The Learning Center use?
The Learning Center uses Christian curriculum. Abeka will be used for math and English Language Arts instruction. Christian Liberty Press and Apologia are just some of the other sources used by The Learning Center. Click on the tab "Curriculum" for more information.
What does it cost?
Student tuition for Kindergarten is $75/week. Student tuition for grades 1st through 5th is $140/week. Payments can be made weekly or monthly. The Learning Center can set up payments.
What about books and supplies? Do I pay for those?
No, all books and supplies are covered by annual tuition paid to The Learning Center.
Will there be field trips?
Yes! Let's plan some fun, educational trips to amazing places!
What does my child do for snacks and lunch?
The Learning Center asks that you pack your child's lunch daily along with a healthy mid-morning snack. A refrigerator and microwave will always be available to students. For special occasions, The Learning Center may provide lunch and/or special treats.
